the winter of 2013/14

The winter in terms of rainfall, has broken meteorological records. The jet stream has given the low pressure systems added impetus. The rainfall has replenished aquifers to such an extent that the threat of flooding will
continue into the forthcoming months.  The Somerset levels is in need of a comprehensive management plan .
